CPR & First Aid Courses
Our CPR and First Aid courses are available for both parents and helpers. Details of the course programs are below:
CPR-Basic Life Support
This practical based course concentrates on the life saving skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for infants and young children. Participants will learn the necessary skills to perform lifesaving techniques in emergency situations. Rescue breathing (EAR), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid response for the choking child will be covered.
Child and Infant First Aid
This session provides education in the first aid treatment of common injuries and illnesses relating to infants and young children. The following Practical and First Aid techniques are taught:
- Emergency response
- Febrile Seizures/Convulsions
- Near Drowning
- Bites and stings
- Broken bones
- Nose bleed
- First aid materials
Domestic Helper Classes
The above two sessions are available specially tailored for the domestic helper.
Class numbers are limited to aid practical instruction, and information sheets are provided as reference.
Courses are run by Anthea Damman, an Australian Registered Nurse certified in CPR and First Aid through St Johns Ambulance, Australia.
