{"id":9257,"date":"2023-09-27T11:51:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-27T03:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.centralhealth.com.hk\/?post_type=resource&#038;p=9257"},"modified":"2023-10-30T11:52:44","modified_gmt":"2023-10-30T03:52:44","slug":"urinary-incontinence","status":"publish","type":"resource","link":"https:\/\/www.centralhealth.com.hk\/zh-hant\/resource\/urinary-incontinence\/","title":{"rendered":"Urinary Incontinence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Urinary incontinence is very common with studies showing that up to 45% of the population worldwide suffers from some degree of incontinence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incontinence is the unintentional leaking of urine.&nbsp; Often this is in response to an increase of abdominal pressure such as a cough, sneeze or jump.&nbsp; This is called \u201cStress Urinary Incontinence\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaking of urine in response to a strong feeling of urgency is known as \u201cUrge Incontinence\u201d or \u201cOveractive Bladder Syndrome\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp; This is when the signaling within the urinary system has been thrown off course and the patient will find themselves frequently, urgently needing the toilet.&nbsp; They may find it extremely hard or even impossible to hold their urine until they reach the safety of a bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes people will have a mixture of these two symptoms&nbsp;&nbsp; This is called Mixed Urinary Incontinence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many different reasons why someone might have incontinence but pelvic floor weakness is commonly thought to be the culprit.&nbsp; Sometimes this is the case, however, not always, and its rarely the only reason!&nbsp; No two women are identical and so a visit to a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist is recommended to make sure you are getting the correct treatment and doing the exercises for you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":9147,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"site-sidebar-layout":"default","site-content-layout":"default","ast-global-header-display":"","ast-banner-title-visibility":"","ast-main-header-display":"","ast-hfb-above-header-display":"","ast-hfb-below-header-display":"","ast-hfb-mobile-header-display":"","site-post-title":"","ast-breadcrumbs-content":"","ast-featured-img":"","footer-sml-layout":"","theme-transparent-header-meta":"","adv-header-id-meta":"","stick-header-meta":"","header-above-stick-meta":"","header-main-stick-meta":"","header-below-stick-meta":""},"class_list":["post-9257","resource","type-resource","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.7 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
