Covid-19
Information

There are multiple ways to test for Covid-19 depending on the specifics of your case and why you need it. We can offer all the following tests with same day results:

  • PCR testing via deep throat saliva, nasopharyngeal swab or stool. This is the gold standard and most accurate form of testing when performed correctly.
  • Rapid antigen testing via nose swab. A quick and accurate way to give you peace of mind and reassurance in minutes.
  • Antibody test via blood to check for past infection and vaccination effectiveness. A simple procedure with accurate results.

Antiviral treatment for Covid-19 is also available including Paxlovid and Molnupiravir after a routine consultation with one of our family doctors.

Central Health is supporting the government vaccine program by offering the Sinovac (CoronaVac) brand of vaccination. Please check if you are eligible for this vaccine according to the latest guidelines prior to booking:

The Pfizer-BioNTech brand is not available in our clinic at this time.

For more information about the vaccines including our take on various subjects such as boosters, children and pregnancy, please read our newsletter updates or else book an appointment to speak with your doctor for more advice.

During the various “waves” of Covid-19 cases in Hong Kong, Central Health has always prioritized keeping the clinic services safe and accessible to all our regular patients where possible. We continue to monitor the situation and adjust our policies as required by the current conditions.

A remote consultation via Skype or Zoom is often a great option for many medical conditions (such as a follow up consultations, looking after sick children, discussing results or booking tests). Please make sure you have access to high-speed internet, camera-phone or web-cam, privacy and a quiet surrounding so you can make the most out of this service.

We know that travel is not as simple as it used to be and the rules can change frequently. However we are here to help where possible and can offer many services which may be required.

Covid-19 testing, vaccination, documentation and other related issues can all be arranged ahead of time. We also take into account the uncertainty of your travel dates and allow for generous contingency plans when dispensing medications. If you would like more advice and to prepare for your upcoming trip, speak to a doctor one month before you travel or as soon as you are able to do so.
