Alexander attended school in Hong Kong, before moving to the UK for university.  Alexander will discuss managing the transition to university in the UK and what he wishes he and his parents had known.
Together, our experts will offer honest reflections and practical advice from a multi-disciplinary perspective.

How Central Health Hong Kong and London Can Support Your Family

The event will also introduce our dedicated Student Support Service, created specifically for families relocating to the UK from overseas. Our team of GPs, paediatricians, psychologists and counsellors provide coordinated support before departure and throughout a student’s time in the UK. Services include:

Student health checks and vaccination reviews
One-to-one parent consultation sessions to discuss concerns and practical strategies
Emotional preparation and wellbeing support before departure
Ongoing counselling and psychological support after arrival in the UK
Direct access to specialist mental health care where required
ADHD assessments and support with educational accommodations
Comprehensive private GP care and second opinions for students throughout the UK

One of the unique aspects of the service is the continuity of care between our Hong Kong and London teams, allowing students and families to access support from clinicians who understand both educational systems and the particular challenges of international relocation.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions throughout the session and learn more about how we can support students and families before, during and after the move.
We hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you.
